Description
These small clear plastic poly beads, known as Aroma Beads, can absorb up to 30% of their weight in the fragrance oil, providing a long-lasting scent that can last up to six months. They are a great alternative to candles and can be placed in a decorative container such as a glass vase or potpourri dish. Additionally, these beads can be used to create car air fresheners by cooking them in a cookie cutter. Mixing different colors of beads can create a beautiful design.
Our "wider spec" aroma beads are slightly more variable than our premium aroma beads, but they still make a great freshie and/or sachet. The shape, size, clarity, absorption rates, and cooking temps may vary slightly from lot to lot. We buy odd lots of aroma bead polymer and sell under this listing, passing along some savings to our customers. Please note that the product will be variable from lot to lot.
When using Aroma Beads for scented beads, it is recommended to use 1 lb of beads to 1 to 1.5 fl oz of fragrance oil, depending on the chosen scent. It is best to start with a small amount of fragrance and add it gradually, as the beads may not absorb it all at once. To mix the fragrance and beads, place them in a sealed glass container and shake. It may take anywhere from 24 hrs to 7 days for the oil to be completely absorbed, so make sure to shake the container every few hours. For colored beads, add liquid candle dye with the fragrance.
